did you just want to transfer files between the 2 or 3 computers internally or did you want to share the FTP with the internet?
If you are just doing it internally, then all you should really have to do is connect all the computers with a switch or a router and have file sharing turned on. There are of course other ways to do it, but this is the simple and fast way to get it done.
